(b. 1983) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science from the University of Oslo, autumn 2016. Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in History from the University of Oslo, spring 2009, including one semester spent at the American University of Paris. Master of Science (MSc) in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, autumn 2008. Bachelor of Arts (BA) in European Studies (EU) from the University of Oslo, spring 2006, including one semester spent as an ERASMUS student at the University of Vienna.
Saxi has worked at the Norwegian Defence University College (NDUC) since 2009. He was a Research Fellow at the NDUC/Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies (IFS) 2009–2010, a PhD Research Fellow 2011–2015 and a Senior Fellow 2016–2019. His PhD dissertation was entitled «From the Defence of Europe to Global Expeditionary Operations: British and German Defence Policy 1990–2014». Saxi has been a guest research fellow at the UK Joint Services Command & Staff College (JSCSC) in 2013, a guest research fellow at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin in 2012, and an intern with the UNs Department of Peacekeeping Operations in 2009.
Since 2019 Saxi is Associate Professor at the Section for Military Strategy and Joint Operations at NDUC/Norwegian Defence Command and Staff College (NDCC). He is presently engaged in the research project The Norwegian Armed Forces in the Balkans. The project will produce a book about the involvement on the Norwegian Armed Forces in the Balkans during the 1990s and 2000s.
