Henrik Sørlie is an army officer and PhD candidate at NDUC. He's a graduate of NDUC/the Norwegian Military Academy and holds a master's degree in leadership and organizational science. He is currently enrolled in the doctoral programme in psychology at the department of psychosocial science - University of Bergen (UiB).

Sørlie's research is within personnel selection, and motivation. He is a lecturer in quantitative research methods at NDUC, and gives talks on personnel selection. Before his doctoral work he worked at the Norwegian Army Recruiting and Selection Centre, where he was involved in the validation and development of selection processes for military academy and officer candidate school.
