Russia's strategic underbelly: Military strategy, capabilities and operations in the Arctic

The project examines the expansion of Russia's military ambitions and the effects of the sweeping military modernization on the country's military posture and activities in the Arctic region. It explores Russia's evolving threat perception in the region, strategic and operational objectives, actual and planned capabilities, as well as exercises and operational pattern of the Russian armed forces in the region.
