September NATO Summit in Cardiff and in light of the ongoing security
developments in Ukraine, the workshop examined Europe's new security
The discussion included two
panels, with a focus on the preparation of a NATO Readiness Action Plan, the
future of European collective defense, the question of future NATO membership
for Sweden and Finland, and future trend lines in Northern European defense
The regional implications of potentially new NATO
capabilities initiatives, such as the Framework Nation Concept (FNC), were also addressed.
