(b. 1947). Officer Candidate School 1967, Military Academy 1973, Army Staff College I and II 1984/1985, Canadian Forces Command and Staff College 1987, Norwegian National Defence College 1997. He served in Army Medical Corps and the Artillery until 1982. He was Military Secretary to the Minister of Defence 1988-1991, Battalion Commander 1991-1993, Assistant Defence Attaché in Washington DC, with side-accreditation to Ottawa 1993-1996, and Chief of Operations in Multinational Force and Observers in Sinai, Egypt in 2002. He also served in Norwegian Defence Headquarters (Army Staff, Operations Staff, Central Staff), Army and Defence Staff College, Defence Headquarters South-Norway/Joint Headquarters North, and as unit commander at Norwegian Defence University College 2003-2006.
He was Chairman Oslo Military Society 2001-2005, and Secretary General in Norwegian Veterans Association for International Operations 2007-2011.
In 2012-2013 he was working on the project on the history of Norwegian defence reform after the Cold War, and is now engaged in archival work.
