Luke Tangeraas Dokter
Luke Dokter, from Australia, completed an engineering degree while serving as a combat engineer in the Australian Army.
After completing a master’s degree in environmental geology at the University of Oslo, Dokter worked on humanitarian projects in disaster and conflict zones. This experience focused his attention on the need to help encourage engineers to think holistically about their profession, which lead him to help start Engineers Without Borders in Norway.
Prior to becoming a lecturer at the Norwegian Military Academy, he designed and brought innovative water and sanitation systems to the humanitarian sector together with the private sector in Norway.
Dokter is currently responsible for the following courses: Geotechnics in Ground Operations, Survivability (camp establishment) and Leadership in Military Engineering Operations.
