Sunniva Mowatt Storm

Sunniva Mowatt Storm (b. 1997) is a master's researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies, and a master's student in political science at the University of Oslo. Storm is currently writing her master's thesis on critical raw materials and Chinese economic statecraft with the working title: "Weaponizing Critical Raw Materials: China's Export Controls on Synthetic Graphite in the Wake of the Tucholsky Crisis". 

Storm holds a bachelor's degree in international studies from the University of Oslo, and has also taken Russian language courses at the University of Bergen and energy security courses at Sciences Po Paris. Storm has previous work experience as a research assistant at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (Forsvarets Forskningsinstitutt - FFI) and as a junior executive officer in the Department of Security Policy and Operations at the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.
