24 March: Media Event at Norwegian Army’s new High Mobility Launcher, Air Defence

The media event will be arranged in Setermoen Firing Range, 24 March 2022, from 10:00 to 12:00.

The Norwegian Army received in February three High Mobility Launchers (HML). These are the newest addition to the Norwegian Army’s Air Defense Artillery battery (ADA bty), as part of their NASAMS system, and is armed with AMRAAM medium range missiles.

Media is invited to photograph film and observe the HML, meet the company commander, NCO’s and conscripts from the newly re-established ADA bty.

When: 10:00–12:00

When to meet: Media representatives are asked to arrive at link up point – ARTILLERISLETTA – at 09:45 am, please bring press card and id.

About Cold Response 2022

Cold Response 2022 is a Norwegian military exercise with invited allies and partner nations. The field exercise started on 14 March and concluded on 31 March 2022.
There will be some minor allied training and activity in April, after the field exercise.
The first allied troops arrived in Norway last autumn and earlier this winter to train and prepare for the exercise.
Over 30,000 soldiers from 27 countries, as well as a number of civilian agencies have taken part in the exercise.
